Jefferson Hills Library Summer Reading Program
Although the Summer Reading Program began in June , there is still time to register for the July Programs . The theme is “ Libraries Rock !” Please register on event keeper at www . jeffersonhillslibrary . org or at the library desk to ensure that we have adequate supplies and refreshment .
PRESCHOOL – KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS ( Suggested Ages 3-6 ) Tuesdays 10-11 a . m . – Includes story time , snack , and craft July 3 – 4th of July Celebration ( All Ages Welcome ) July 10 – Tail Waggin Tutors Visit the Library ( All Ages Welcome ) July 17 – Yoga ( All Ages Welcome ) July 24 – Rocking Hawaiian Party ( All Ages Welcome )
ELEMENTARY STUDENTS ( Suggested Ages 6 and Up ) Thursdays 10-11:15 a . m . - Includes story time , snack , and craft July 5 – Robotics Day ( STEM ) July 12 – Scavenger Hunt July 19 – NOTE : THIS PROGRAM IS AT 1:30 p . m ( No program in the morning ) Carnegie Museum of Natural History “ Animal Attraction ” Live Animal Program ( All Ages are Welcome ) July 26 –“ Y on the Fly ” Program ( all ages welcome )

• The Friends of Jefferson Hills Public Library wishes to shout out a very big THANK YOU to all the sponsors , contributors , and volunteers of the Spring Book and Boutique Sale . The spring sale is our largest fundraiser and had a record breaking boutique sale this year .
• We accept books and new or like-new boutique items throughout the year . All leftover books from our sale are donated or sold , so we start with new inventory each year . Watch periodically for mini boutique sales in the library .
• Keep an eye out of the Friends of JHPL fall mailer coming to your mailbox in September . We coordinate our fall mailer with the Allegheny County ’ s Love Your Library Campaign . This means more bang for your buck because all donations received in September are eligible for the matching funds program .
• The Friends of JHPL are looking for active members willing to give a few hours a year of their time and share new and exciting ideas . Please consider joining us , and call the Library for more info .
TWEENS AND TEENS ( 5TH-12TH Grade ) Tuesdays 11:30 a . m . -12:30 p . m . The Teens will be rocking in the kitchen preparing and trying different foods July 3 – Pizza and Picasso July 10 – Learn how to make homemade pasta July 17 – Chip and Salsa Party July 24 – Join the Rocking Hawaiian Party at 10 a . m .
