Annual Fish for Fun Day
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Borough’s annual
Fish for Fun Day on May 5, at the beautiful Peters Creek l eg of the
Montour Trail in Jefferson Hills. The creek was stocked with 900
Rainbow Trout and over 50 children and their families enjoyed
fishing in the catch-and‑release program. Borough Councilwoman
Vicki Ielase coordinated the fun day that included fishing related
door prizes, a grand prize kayak raffle, a 50-50 drawing, and lunch.

prizes. A kayak and 50/50 raffle were the grand prizes of the day.
Borough Hires Engineer
Michael S. Glister, P.E. is the newest member of the Borough’s administrative team.
He was hired by Council in March.
As Borough engineer, Glister is responsible for operation and maintenance of the
sanitary and storm sewer system; grading permit reviews; subdivision/consolidation
reviews; Planning Commission support; annual paving/seal coat program; grant
applications; maintaining and updating Borough mapping; coordinating as necessary
with the County and State; and coordinating with residents regarding issues or
concerns.
Glister is a graduate of Penn State University and currently lives in Ingram. His
future plans include buying a home in Jefferson Hills. Among his hobbies and
interests are riding motorcycles, playing the guitar, sports, camping and all things
Pittsburgh/Penn State.
