everal elementary school
students were recognized at
the January 23, 2018 School
Board Meeting which made
for a very special and entertaining
evening. Representatives from the
Creative Dramatics Program at Jefferson
Elementary spoke to School Board
members about their experiences gained
from this new program. Created by the
Pittsburgh Public Theater, the Creative
Dramatics Program brings together
schools from diverse neighborhoods
paired up for a collaboration whose
end result is a performance on stage
at the O’Reilly Theater. Fourth and
fifth-grade students from Gill Hall,
McClellan and Jefferson Elementary
Schools participated in the program
along with their partner school, Clairton
Elementary. In addition to learning an
