WHAT’S NEWS IN UPPER ST. CLAIR RETIRE OLD GLORY If you have old or worn-out American flags in or around your house, you can have them retired respectfully through the Retire Old Glory program. Established locally in 2009, the Retire Old Glory program enables you to retire your old American flag according to doctrine. There is a collection bin available at the entrance to the Community & Recreation Center. 1551 Mayview Road. The day and time will be the same—the second Saturday of every month (except February), from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Follow the directional signs to the left of the C&RC driveway; they will lead you up to the E-Cycling drop-off site. Please be advised that residents are only allowed to recycle one TV per car. In accordance with Chapter 68 of the Township Code, the Township of Upper St. Clair requires the recycling of electronic equipment—anything with an electrical cord including large electric appliances ($15 charge for Freon removal); these items are not collected curbside.
