Pathways Supports Special Olympics Colorado at Polar Plunge

For the second year in a row , Pathways has formed a team to participate in the Polar Plunge . On March 4 , the “ Pathways Plungers ” will jump into the chilly waters of Horsetooth Reservoir in support of the Special Olympics Colorado .
The Special Olympics Colorado performs incredible work by providing opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities to engage in Olympic-type sports . This organization allows such individuals to develop physical fitness skills and meet other athletes in the community .
Pathways is proud to support such a remarkable organization . Thank you to everyone who donated to help us reach our fundraising goal , and thank you to those who are taking the Plunge to support a great cause .

Pathways Recognized as Leaders in Dementia Care

Since 2012 , Pathways has been recognized by the Alzheimer ’ s Association of Colorado as a Leader in Dementia Care . In late January 2017 , Pathways once again received this honor .
In order to obtain this recognition , Pathways completed a minimum of eight hours of training in Alzheimer ’ s specific care techniques during the past year . In addition , 75 percent of staff members attended stand-alone memory care training .
As a Leader in Dementia Care , Pathways will be recognized on the Alzheimer ’ s Association of Colorado ’ s website and added to the organization ’ s referral list . Pathways is the only hospice provider in northern Colorado to be recognized as a Leader in Dementia Care .
