Letter from our President

First of all , I would like to thank everyone for their continued support as I have taken on the role of interim president . We have a talented search committee dedicated to finding an outstanding new Pathways president , and I am excited to meet the next leader of our organization .
As we wrap up the first quarter of 2017 , there are many exciting projects on the horizon that we have to look forward to , one of which is the Children ’ s Healing Garden . The project was announced to the public only a few months ago , and we already have received two $ 5,000 grants from the Griffin Foundation and the Colorado Garden Foundation , as well as many donations . In addition , we are selling greeting cards at the front desk that feature artwork created by art therapy clients , counselors and volunteers . All proceeds from these cards will benefit the Garden .
We are incredibly grateful for those who have supported the Children ’ s Healing Garden and to all who support Pathways in general . Because of our community ’ s generosity , we are able to continue providing expert hospice care , palliative care and grief and loss support .
Our newest giving program , Pathfinders , offers an opportunity to support Pathways by giving a small – but impactful – amount each month to benefit various programs . For example , being a Pathfinder at $ 30 a month translates to six children a year attending Camp Braveheart . Please contact Marsha Sesskin at marsha . sesskin @ pathwayscare . org for more information about the Pathfinders program .
We are looking forward to all that 2017 has in store for Pathways , and we truly appreciate everyone who has supported Pathways throughout the years .

Facility Spotlight :

Pathways has had the honor of working with numerous stellar facilities throughout northern Colorado . For the past year , Pathways has built a great relationship with Garden Square of Greeley : Assisted Living & Memory Care .
Garden Square lives by their mission of creating environments where moments of joy , independence , and wellness are the focus each and every day – values that Pathways wholly supports . Not only has Pathways been a hospice provider at Garden Square for the past year , but we have also collaborated with Garden Square for various educational programs , including a special session on navigating the loss of a loved one .
The next collaborative program will be on March 30 and focus on helping families initiate difficult conversations on end-of-life planning . Garden Square will be showing the film , “ Consider the Conversation ,” which features personal stories , interviews and opinions of experts in hospice care .
In addition to monthly educational programs , Garden Square further engages with the community through unique activities and events . For example , they will be hosting the Picture Perfect program on March 23 , in which community members are invited to get their hair and makeup done for a professional photo shoot .
Pathways has thoroughly enjoyed working with Garden Square and looks forward to continuing this relationship for many years to come . For more information on Garden Square , visit gardensquarememorycare . com .
