Back
Into the
Exercise
Groove
Many of us are coming off of
summer vacations and getting back
into the routine of work and school.
And, we hope, regular exercise to
keep our bodies and minds healthy.
If you took a break from exercising
and are having a hard time getting
motivated to start back up again, the
National Institutes of Health offers
some helpful tips:
• Don’t be too hard on yourself.
Just try to get back to your
activities as soon as possible.
• Think about the reasons you
started exercising and how much
you’ve already accomplished.
• Start again at a comfortable
level, and gradually build back
up.
• Try an activity you’ve never done
before.
• Believe in yourself !
