Thanks to a federal grant, more than 250 DCS officers will soon wear body cameras to capture interactions with supervised offenders. This innovative use of body camera technology will help improve transparency and accountability between officers and offenders. And, it's going to help drive continuous improvements for DCS operations and training. DCS Field Operations Director David Morrison says, “It will allow managers to go back and review those interactions to provide coaching sessions for the officers," and helps move training beyond the constraints of traditional role-playing scenarios.
