IN Shaler Winter 2017 | Page 37

Walk Bike Shaler WalkBikeShaler has had a busy few months and our numbers have grown at our monthly meetings. We would love to see you at our next gathering at the Shaler North Hills Library. Check our Facebook page for exact days and times. We continue to advocate for bringing the Riverfront Trail connector a long the Allegheny River up to Etna and Sharpsburg. Not only will this provide economic growth for our communities, but will provide opportunities for everyone to experience the very best of what our region has to offer. Now that Autumn is upon us there will be fewer hours of daylight as we approach the winter months. It is becoming more and more important that when on your bike, walking the streets, or being outside near motor traffic to wear bright, reflective clothing and have your bike lights on. We are currently developing a website that will not only have WalkBikeShaler’s calendar of events, but will be your ‘go to’ for all the information you will need to be an informed pedestrian.
