No Soliciting List RESIDENTS MUST RE-REGISTER FOR “NO SOLICITATION” LIST As of December 31, 2017, the 2016 list will expire, and the new list will be given to solicitors for January 2018. Chapter 169 of the Code of Shaler Township regulates canvassing and soliciting within the township by requiring solicitors to register for permits for door to door canvassing. Residents who do not wish to be contacted by solicitors must register on a “No Solicitation” list, a copy of which is provided to all solicitors when they register for their permit. Residents may register: • At www.shaler.org under Community • Send your name and address to [email protected] • Call the Township at 412-486-9700 “No Solicitors” window decals are available at the Municipal building for $2.00. If purchasing a window decal, place on your storm door or front window, wherever it is most visible from the street. Using a window decal enhances your chance of solicitors not soliciting at your home. Prior to being elected District Judge, he worked for the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department for ten years as the Chief Training Instructor at the Allegheny County Police Academy for all County and City Police Officers. The Judge enjoyed all facets of his job in helping people but was most passionate working with juveniles and helping young people get on the right track to a bright future. He has assisted many with future school and professional opportunities. His advice for young people is to always tell the truth, even when you are wrong. Honesty is the best policy. His future plans include taking on Senior Judge status, which will allow him to serve as Judge at his leisure. He will spend time with his wife Donna, their two children and seven beautiful grandchildren. Some of that time will include hunting and fishing. Judge Dzvonick stated, “I can truly say I was blessed to serve the people in my area and Allegheny County”. He thanks the people of Shaler, Etna, Millvale and Reserve for re-electing him to four terms and stated that it was a privilege and honor to serve the people.
