DAILY ADMISSION In past years there was a discounted daily admission rate for Shaler Township residents . This policy created a very adversarial situation for the pool employees who encountered resistance from patrons when they requested residency verification . In an effort to eliminate confrontational situations for our pool staff , the Township has implemented a new daily admission policy for the 2017 season . The following daily rates will be in effect regardless of residency :

SMILE PLEASE Senior Citizen Membership Changes
The Board of Commissioners has voted to continue free membership to Crawford Pool for all residents over the age of 65 . One change that will take place in 2017 for all new and renewal membership passes is that residents will be required to provide a photo no larger than 2 " x 2 " ( standard passport size ). This photo will be affixed to the bi-annual season pool pass . The photo identification is a new requirement for all season pass holders to Crawford Pool effective with the 2017 membership year . Senior Citizens are reminded that all renewal requests must be submitted with a completed application as well as the required photo , and proof of residency . Shaler Township Senior Citizens must have a pool pass for free entry to the pool . We look forward to seeing you at the pool .
10-Day Admission pass : Shaler Township residents will have the option of purchasing a 10-day admission pass at a discounted rate . This pass will have a photo of the pass holder and will be good for 10 daily admissions ( includes weekday and weekends ). The 10-day pass must be pre-purchased at the Township offices during regular business hours and proof of residency and a 2 ” x 2 ” ( standard passport size ) color photo must be submitted with the application . Proof of Shaler Township residency must also be provided for the applicant . Examples of acceptable proof of residency may be found on the Township website and on the application .
Please note that residency within the Shaler Area School District does not qualify for the 10-day admission pass . The applicant must be a resident of Shaler Township .
The Township encourages residents who do not wish to purchase the season pass to obtain the 10-day admission pass so that they can enjoy the benefits of the pool at a reduced rate . Additional information is available at www . shaler . org .
