annual early-winter bird census,
where thousands of volunteers across
North America go out to count
birds. Participate in this valuable
documentation of bird species in North
Park. No previous experience necessary.
A parent or guardian must accompany
their children. Dress well for outdoor
activity.
14th Annual Frigid Five Miler

A fun but challenging event set to kick
off the New Year with a smack to the old
senses. Feel the seasonal cold and snowy
air; see its signature uphill finish as you
head to the start line, gaining nearly 300
vertical feet in only .6 of a mile; hear the
volunteers cheering you on. Finally, smell
and taste the wonderful freshly made
pancakes and hot chocolate waiting at
