Hall of Fame
On Sunday, Oct. 2, The Quaker Valley Sports Hall of
Fame inducted new members for the Class of 2016
during a brunch and awards ceremony at Sewickley
Heights Golf Club. Inductees included one state
championship team, the 1996 Boys Soccer Team; the
1978 Girls Basketball Team, the school’s first section
championship in that sport; and four athletes —
Averell Harris, Class of ‘73, Stephani Victor, Class of
’87, Jeff Roberts, Class of ’88 and James Rockymore,
Class of ’03.
“We are extremely impressed with the
outstanding and impressive qualifications of
the class of 2016,” says Athletic Director Mike
Mastroianni. “They represent different eras and their
credentials are remarkable and unquestioned. Our
athletic department and our school district are very
fortunate to have had such
distinguished contributors.”
