Its mission is to provide love , a sense of security , warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill , traumatized , or otherwise in need . Volunteers do this by giving them gifts of new , handmade blankets , quilts and afghans , lovingly created for Project Linus by volunteer “ blanketeers .” The blanketeers are part of the mission
