Now in its 152nd year , the Sewickley Query Club presents and discusses papers on yearly themes from history and culture . It meets every two weeks ( approximately ) from September until April . This year ’ s topic : “ Sports in History .”

Wargo as he showcases the esoteric and often unknown activity of hawk watching , using pictures and stories , which he has documented in his book , “ Bird : An Exploration of Hawk Watching .” Wissahickon is the only general nature club in the Pittsburgh area . Every member has something to contribute . The group shares a diverse knowledge , experience and enthusiasm for the natural world at meetings and on outings in the field . All meetings are free and open to the public . The programs begin at 7:30 p . m . but arrive at 7 p . m . to share coffee , tea and a potluck dessert . Bring a friend !
