NORTHLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY KIOSK
Did you know you can borrow items from Northland Public Library right at Ross Township ’ s Community Center ? The Kiosks , named NOMAD ( which stands for Northland Offsite Modern Alternative Dispenser ) contains both children ’ s and adult books , CDs , and DVDs that can be checked out using any library card issued by Allegheny County . Patrons are also able to return Library items to the book drop conveniently located just outside the main entrance to the Ross Community Center . Dragons ( 4-6 ) - Thurs . - 5:00-5:45pm Our Dragons program utilizes creative learning strategies to appeal to our younger students ’ unique learning style . The classes are geared towards focusing their energies and attention in a positive way . They learn basic martial arts skills , self-control , focus , balance and coordination . Upon graduation , they are preparing to join our Youth program .
Cost : $ 55 / month for Ross-Resident $ 65 / month for Non-Ross-Residents
Youth ( 7-13 ) - Tues . & Thur . - 6:00-6:45pm Our Youth program is designed to bring the traditional martial art of Tang Soo Do to our children . Classes focus on martial arts techniques , self-defense , and positive mental & physical development . This class teaches the techniques and philosophies of a traditional martial art utilizing modern teaching methods .
Cost : $ 75 / month for Ross-Residents $ 85 / month for Non-Ross Residents
Teen & Adult ( 13 +) - Tues . & Thurs . - 7:00-8:00pm For our older students we offer our highest level of instruction . IN addition to learning the techniques of Tang Soo Do , students will delve deeper into their understanding of self-development and self-defense . This class is designed to give students the tools and confidence to overcome the obstacles and opportunities of modern life
