HITTING
THE
TOWN
On our first morning in
Copenhagen, James, Mike
and I set out to get some
breakfast. After buying some
food at a grocery store, we
found a beautiful park where
we ate bread with cheese
and drank orange juice with
juicy bits (according to the
container). This was one of
the most memorable times
for me in Copenhagen.
My memories of the Copenhagen charrette are a little scattered.
It was an intense week full of highs and lows, new friends and
many challenges.
We arrived, after a long journey via Iceland, and made it to our
hostel eager to check in and check out the city. Most of the
George Brown students had arrived together, so we wandered
about the city in a small pack. That first night we enjoyed
ourselves, knowing perhaps that it would be our only chance
to let loose until the charrette was over.
Exploring | Langebro | 11.10.2014
The architecture and design
of the city was striking.
Everywhere we looked
there was something new
and interesting to be seen.
The Danish designed every
imaginable aspect of a city.
Even the corner stores had
design appeal.

Breakfast | Ørstedsparken | 12.10.2014
A canal tour was organized
for us by KEA, the host
school. Navigating the city
by water was an entirely
different experience, and
we learned a lot about the
architecture, history, culture
and people of Copenhagen.
