Shideler earned silver medals nationally
in Atlanta after they earned first place
and gold medals for their chapter service
project display at the Family, Career
& Community Leaders of America
Competition through A.W. Beattie Career
Center. Junior Annalee Demitras earned a
bronze medal in baking, and PRHS 2018
Graduate Joni Ballanca earned a bronze
medal in culinary arts. Junior Josh Kelly
earned a silver medal for menu planning.

Policy Forum.
Pine-Richland High School Forensics
Team members Mahak Sethi and Tyler
Viljaste, both PRHS 2018 graduates,
placed 16th in the nation at the Catholic
Forensics League National Tournament
held in Washington, D.C., on May 29,
2018. They competed in the public forum
debate category and placed 16th out of
the nearly 230 teams under the direction
of Teacher Jeff Byko. PRHS is being
named to the “Top 16” teams in the 17th
annual International Public Policy
Forum. Mahak and Tyler made up the
team along with PRHS 2018 Graduate
Molly McCarthy.
