PCA’S ANNUAL
CHINESE NEW YEAR
CELEBRATION
The Pittsburgh Chinese Academy-
South Hills held its annual Chinese New
Year Celebration on Feb. 25. Artwork
was displayed by PCA students and
teachers from Drawing and Calligraphy
classes. The performance was emceed by
volunteers and PCA students including
Claudia Ng, Nolan Wang, Sam Talebi, Jing
Yuan Zhang, Michelle Yang, Cynthia Shen
and Kathy Li.
Students from all the language classes,
Mommy and Me, and Conversation
participated in performances including
songs, skits, drama and nursery rhymes.
Special performances featured Iris and
Hyacinth Wu, nursery rhyme; Nancy
Xiao, piano; Vivian Luo and Michelle
Yang, violins; Cynthia Shen, song;
and Jackson Busche, piano. Following
the performances, all guests enjoyed
an authentic Chinese meal including
homemade dumplings.
