RACE TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF CHILD ABUSE
Please join Watchful Shepherd USA and PULSE — a state-of-the-art fitness studio located at 3339 Washington Road in Peters Township — to help prevent child abuse on Sunday , April 15 , from 10 a . m . to noon in the RACE TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF CHILD ABUSE . Simply register at watchful . org by donating $ 100 for an individual or $ 400 for a team . Each stationary bike will have teams of four with the race consisting of 15-minute heats and all team members sharing and riding relay style . You can help by recruiting your friends , family and colleagues to join you in person , on a team or donating in your name . This is the second year that PULSE has donated its time , talents and location to raise awareness during April , National Child Abuse Awareness Month .
18TH ANNUAL ‘ MEATBALLS & MUSIC ’
The PT Music Boosters sponsored the 18th annual Meatballs & Music event on Saturday , Jan . 27 . The spaghetti dinner was held in the PTHS cafeteria from 3 to 8 p . m . with musical performances provided in the gymnasium by Peters Township School District ’ s music groups . The spaghetti dinner is a wonderful event that takes place each year , and is the largest group fundraiser for the PTHS music department . Dinner included spaghetti and meatballs with homemade sauce , garden salad , roll and beverage .
Dessert was served in the PTHS gymnasium where attendees could sit and enjoy the entertainment provided by the district ’ s music students . Performances began with some of the district ’ s elementary and middle school groups . Then , the high school orchestra and wind symphony performed , followed by the
SYMPHONY OF FOOD
Symphony of Food 2018 was an evening of wonderful food , wine , live entertainment , basket raffles , paddle auctions , Mindy ’ s Mystery boxes and a wine cart raffle . The event took place on Jan . 26 . This year marked the 11th Symphony of Food event , and money was
middle school choir , the high school choir and Room 100 — the high school ’ s show choir . The evening ’ s entertainment wrapped up in a spectacular fashion with the jazz band , the winter guard and finally the Peters Township Mighty Indian Marching Band .
Meatballs & Music also featured a huge basket raffle with over 100 beautiful baskets donated by area businesses , organizations and PT Music Booster members . There was also a 50 / 50 raffle during the event with tickets sold throughout the evening .
