The more we help our members, the more we discover opportunities to improve their financial portfolios. That is why our experienced team is the best source you have for financial help. Our goal is to tailor the best loan possible for you. Excessive fees, fine print conditions and a complicated loan process are not part of our solution. Honest, up-front and stress free is our way – the people way.” — Carol Mattesi, VP of Lending Carol Mattesi “At Allegent, we offer a Visa credit card with a low fixed rate, plus membership rewards. Your Allegent Visa credit card acquires points and can be used for merchandise, recreation, travel rewards, and yes, actual cash back with our UChoose ® Rewards program. Allegent FCU does not use a lot of fine print — we keep it simple. We have no annual fees, no balance transfer fees, and no cash advance fees — period. Oh, by the way, that is our fine print.” — Mark Bruno, Card Services Manager Allegent Community Federal Credit Union’s History Mark Bruno With only 10 Federal government employees and just $70, Allegent Community Federal Credit Union, formerly known as Allegheny County (PA) U.S. Government Employees Federal Credit Union, was chartered on March 7, 1935. Since then, the credit union has grown to over 16,000 members and over $158 million in assets. Originally located in the United States Post Office and Courthouse Building on Grant Street, the credit union relocated when the William S. Moorehead Federal Building was built. Due to tremendous growth, the decision was made to move once again in 1991 to our present location in Liberty Center. Since moving to this location, we have added ATM access to all PNC® Bank ATMs. In October 2006, we progressed to a community charter and officially changed our name to Allegent Community Federal Credit Union. Allegent opened a second branch in 2010, in Franklin Park, PA, allowing us to offer new services to members, such as, a drive-thru service and ATM, safe deposit boxes and expanded weekday and Saturday hours. In October 2014, Eastern Pittsburgh Bell Federal Credit Union merged with Allegent. This resulted in a third branch on Rodi Road in Penn Hills, which has allowed easier accessibility for our members in the Eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh. You can become a member of Allegent Community Federal Credit Union as long as you live, work, worship, or attend school in Butler or Allegheny County. All you need is $5 to open up a savings share account and you can reap the benefits of being a part of the Allegent Community.
