NORTHALLEGHENYTRACK STARSAYDEN OWENS AND CLARA SAVCHIK TAKE HOME STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS .

A pair of rising seniors at North Allegheny High School are newly minted track and field state champions . Ayden Owens and Clara Savchik both won gold at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association ( PIAA ) Class 3A Championships , held at Shippensburg University in late May . Ayden captured the 110 and 300-meter hurdle state titles , setting new North Allegheny school records in both and establishing a new PIAA record in the 110-meter ( 13.76 seconds ). With a time of 37.47 in the 300-meter race , he successfully defended his title in that event ( he also won as a sophomore ). Clara set a new school record for the Tigers , too , running the 3,200-meter race in 10 minutes and 21.65 seconds . Last
