Brooks
A Lifetime of Service
Ever since Bob Brooks moved to Murrysville in 1980, he’s worked to improve
the community and help people. His service has included 26 years in local
government - 18 years on council and the past 8 years as Mayor – while serving
leadership roles in the Boy Scouts and Rotary. He’s also enjoyed a successful
career as the CFO of Wabtec and currently as owner of Pittsburgh Indoor Sports
Arena. As the father of three children who graduated from Franklin Regional,
he’s always focused on how Murrysville can improve for not just his children, but
everyone’s.
“Throughout my life, I’ve worked hard to deliver positive results and conservative
solutions to help local families,” he said. “We’ve held the line on taxes, yet still
provide great services. Today, we have restaurants and shops coming here, and
thriving in Murrysville. Not only that, we completed the Miracle Field, improved
the library, built the first dog park in the county, and improved public safety.”
It’s no surprise that with all of these accomplishments, Brooks was named Mayor
of the Year in 2015 by the Association of Mayors. It’s also no surprise that Brooks
wants to stay involved, and is running as the Republican candidate for the 54th
Legislative District.
“I believe in the dignity of every person and I’ve shown that in the work I’ve
done in Murrysville,” he said. “I plan to keep my focus on people, and to provide
conservative leadership to ensure our communities remain a great place to live.”
