DRAWING CONCEPTS AND TECHNIQUES WORKSHOP 1:30 p . m ., Saturdays , Jan . 6 , 13 , 20 , Feb . 3 , 10 , 17 , 24 , Mar . 3
This eight-week class will teach attendees how to apply the drawing concepts and techniques of the great Masters , specifically from the mid-16th century ( Renaissance ) to the mid-17th century ( Baroque ) in Europe . Students will examine the basic elements of drawing including line , value , form , and composition . Students will use specific drawing materials such as soft vine charcoal or willow charcoal and conte crayon on toned papers . This class runs January 6-March 3 . There will be no class January 27 . 8TH ANNUAL ANTIQUE & COLLECTIBLE IDENTIFICATION

The Historical Glass Club of Pittsburgh will hold its eighth annual antiques and collectible identification event in cooperation with Mt . Lebanon Public Library . The club ’ s team of appraisers will attempt to verbally identify all types of antiques and collectibles , including pottery , china , glass , toys , coins , furniture , primitives , and ephemera . If you wish to have your items examined by the team , please bring them to the lower level of the library . Cost is $ 5 for two antique and collectible identifications .
