f you’re tired of the old corporate
names in real estate, Realty One

A former radio talent, O’Connor got into
real estate after she settled in the area

so I’m familiar with the entire region,” she
notes.
Working in the same office, O’Connor
and Tappe became fast friends and began

Specialist designations, and have been
constant multimillion-dollar producers.
Recognized for National Sales Excellence,
putting them in the top 5 percent of
agents nationwide, they also have been
in the AEF Ring of Excellence, voted
5-Star Agents and have been recognized
by the Pittsburgh Business Times as Who’s
Who List Ranked Realtors in Pittsburgh
for residential real estate.
While O’Connor loves all of her clients,
whether they be first-time homebuyers
or downsizing seniors, she’s been
increasingly finding herself sought out by
move-up buyers looking to find the space
they need for their growing families.
Although they are longtime friends
and Realtors, and help each other out
frequently, O’Connor and Tappe aren’t a
formal team. Tappe, who has been in the
real estate business for nearly 10 years,
also started when she and her family
settled down in the South Hills.
I work with luxury, move up,
downsizes, buyers, sellers and alot of first
timers a handful of investors and have
helped several relocation. Working all
ov er the city of pittsburgh , south hills
and some parts of washington county.
Technology is a staple of their business.
They have their own designated app with
Realty One to assist clients on the go with
property information and open houses.
“Realty One has provided a great
opportunity to better help my clients,”
Tappe said. “And with the top-of-the-line

to them, we’re really shaking things up in
the area.”
A focus on bleeding-edge technology,
like a Matterport 3-D virtual-reality
camera, gives O’Connor and Tappe the
ability to offer online tours inside a home
similar to what Google’s Street View
system does for neighborhoods.
Tappe explained that the Matterport
camera has changed the game for
potential buyers, allowing them to save
time on attending open houses for
homes that don’t really fit the bill.
“We did our first virtual house in South
Fayette, and then one in Dormont, which
ended up being sold to a local person
who was able to tour the house from
their vacation spot in DisneyWorld,” she
said. “We can email the tour to anyone
and it’s really just like walking through
the house from your computer or tablet.
Some places just use the technology on
million-dollar homes,
but we’re opening it up
to everybody because
it saves everyone time,
effort and stress.”
Another benefit they’ve found with
Realty One is the “Moving Concierge”
program that guides buyers and sellers
through the process of packing and
moving—everything from utility changes
and moving assistance to week-by-
week instructions to ensure a smooth
transition. “All of these tools really put us
a step ahead of the competition and help
