Dr. Stofman is double board certifi ed in plastic surgery,
otolaryngology, and head and neck surgery. He has lectured
locally as well as nationally and has produced numerous
publications, book chapters, and teaching courses over
the last 25 years. Dr. Stofman has developed a vast clinical
experience in rhinoplasty (cosmetic surgery of the nose)
and cosmetic face, eyelid, and breast surgery. His
reconstructive interests concentrate on lower extremities
and reconstructive surgery of burned areas of the head
and neck and upper and lower extremities.
Dr. Stofman was elected as President of the Pittsburgh
Plastic Surgery Society from 2001- 2003 and the
Robert H. Ivy Pennsylvania Plastic Surgery Society from
2004-2005. His peers voted him into the prestigious
American Association of Plastic Surgery in 2005. He was
recently asked to sit on the American Association of Plastic
Surgery Finance Committee and has served on the Ethics
Committee since 2016. He has been interviewed live on
NBC Today show for his work on the psychosexual benefits
of cosmetic surgery.
In addition to the American Association of Plastic Surgery,
his professional memberships include the American Society
of Plastic Surgery, The American Society for Aesthetic
Plastic Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons,
where he is a local representative for western Pennsylvania.
