Throughout the one-day recognition
event, Koch and the other employers
had the opportunity to get an up-
close and personal look at the Navy
Expeditionary Combat Command, tour
the multi-purpose amphibious assault
ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) at Naval
Station Norfolk, view a static display of
aircraft from Naval Air Force Reserve,
and witness a demonstration by Reserve
SEAL Team 18.

9/11: NEVER FORGET
PROJECT
Robert Morris University College
Republicans organized the 9/11: Never
Forget Project on Sept. 8, in collaboration
with the Young America’s Foundation
(YAF). Through this initiative, which is
the largest nationwide campus activism
project of its kind, students at schools
across the country annually display 2,997
American flags to remember those who
died. The flags were displayed on the
front lawn of Robert Morris University’s
campus through Sept. 14.
More than 200 campuses participate in
this project each year, and its popularity
continues to increase. Since 2003, 9.7
million flags have been placed in the
ground as part of YAF’s iconic project.
This September marks 16 years since
the tragic terror attacks in New York
City, Pennsylvania, and Washington,
D.C. Students at RMU understand the
significance of 9/11 and each September
honor the lives lost.
