At Panther Physical Therapy, the emphasis always is on you and getting you back on your feet. “We’ve been here for 14 years—many of our incredible staff having been here for over 10 years—and we pride ourselves on being part of the community,” said April Peacock, Outpatient Marketing Coordinator. “It’s kind of like ‘Cheers’ here in that past patients like to stop in and catch up. We have several patients who have had multiple injuries over the years and they’re like family, stopping in to visit and update the staff on how they’re doing.” One thing that returning and new patients will both enjoy at Panther is the fresh look the staff has been phasing into the practice. The facility has been repainted and refreshed this year to give it that “like-new” feel. They’ve also been working on making things more efficient for patients by improving and refining service and work flows to better serve everyone who walks through their doors. “We have prided ourselves to do what is right by putting our patients first. The way things were done 14, 10, or even five years ago has changed. We are always striving to deliver excellent treatment and to stand out from other clinics so our patients get the best care possible,” Peacock said. Part of those changes includes how physical therapy as a field itself has changed over the years from a reactive solution to a problem to an evidence-based proactive wellness program to achieve the highest functional level. At Panther Physical Therapy, patients are treated after an accident or surgery, complete their therapy, and can continue on to post- 22 724.942.0940 TO ADVERTISE | Hampton therapy conditioning if they so choose, keeping in close contact with their physical therapist as they perform the exercises that will keep them strong and hopefully help prevent future incidents. “People can structure their post- therapy program frequency the way they want to,” Peacock said. “We’re here to help regardless of what they want to do. They can have time with their therapist or just use the gym equipment and work out. We encourage them to do what will give them the most positive results.” Panther Physical Therapy accepts most major insurances for physical therapy services. All of our therapists have their Direct Access licenses, which allow them to treat under most insurances for 30 days without a prescription. However, the post-therapy conditioning is an out-of-pocket expense. That expense is comparable to monthly gym membership and more beneficial in that your routine will be in close proximity to the physical therapist that you’ve trusted your care to. What’s more, Panther Physical Therapy gives back to the community by supporting various charities and causes that are central to the lives of its patients and staff.
