Celebrate 45 Years
Kidz Kaboom Camp
Choose your adventure! Kidz Kaboom,
a high-energy, fun-filled camp for preschool
and elementary children, will be held June
26-29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., each day at Allison
Park Church, 2326 Duncan Avenue.
Camp choices include art, basketball, battle
games (dodgeball, tag, etc.), cheerleading,
cooking, dance, martial arts, preschool or
soccer. Elementary children also attend an
afternoon live show that engages all of the
senses, this year featuring a medieval theme,
“Royal Realm.” The preschool program
includes crafts, games, stories, and more.

Visit the Depreciation Lands Museum
on Sunday, July 15, from 1 to 4 p.m. for an
Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social that will
celebrate the museum’s 45 years of success.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of an
old-fashioned country ice cream social.
Traditionally, the social was an opportunity to relax the social code and visit with friends
and neighbors. Ice cream and lemonade are complimentary with your paid admission to
the museum on July 15. Take a trip back to colonial times and enjoy a day of treats, special
demonstrations and lots of hands-on activities!
Take time to visit the “Fleece to Shawl” demonstration, presented in collaboration with
the Butler Spinners and Weavers Guild. A recently shorn sheep fleece will be spun into
yarn, and woven into a lovely shawl, all in the space of the afternoon! Purchase a raffle
ticket for the handmade shawl. The lucky
winner will be chosen at the Hydref Fall
Festival in October.
At 2:30 p.m., enjoy a family-friendly
concert presented by the Pittsburgh
Historical Music Society.
