PreseNts ‘Nice Work If
You Can Get It’
Hampton’s spring musical, “Nice Work
If You Can Get It,” was presented April 13,
14, 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the high school
auditorium.
This 1920s-set musical comedy features
popular Jimmy Winter, who meets his
match in a rough female bootlegger on the
weekend of his wedding. With unforgettable
music by American composer George
Gershwin, the story is based on the book
by Joe DiPertro.
Hampton’s production received the
following 2018 Gene Kelly Awards: Best
Costume Design, Best Ensemble, Best
Execution of Choreography and Best
Execution of Music Direction. In addition,
Joseph Fish was awarded Best Actor in a
Supporting Role as Cookie McGee.
