REGISTRATIONS CLOSE
FRIDAY, MAY 5
With five summer snowfalls in the first two months
of the year, Rotary District 9980 conference
manager Deb Budden is quietly confident Mother
Nature will sprinkle some of the white stuff in mid-
May, providing the perfect powdery backdrop to the
gathering’s winter wonderland-themed dance party.
Organisers from the Rotary Club of Wanaka are busy putting the
final touches on 2017’s conference: Our World. A Better Place, a
theme, Deb says, has taken on more and more significance and
importance as the date’s drawn closer.
“I think every Rotarian cares about their community and strives
to make the world a better place – and, in a time of international
conflict and growing ‘nationalism’, it is great to be reminded how
and what we can do as Rotarians to make ‘our world a better place’.”
An impressive line-up of thought-leading speakers has been selected
to reinforce the message, share their perspectives, and leave
Rotarians with plenty of inspiration and ideas ...
