ANNUAL TELETHON BENEFITS MAKE-A-WISH

n a return to its roots, the 28 th Annual Fox Chapel
Area School District Telethon benefited Make-A-
Wish ® of Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia –
the same charity chosen for the very first telethon in
1990. The 2017 telethon raised nearly $39,000.
Students from all six schools in the district (including
Fairview, Hartwood, Kerr, and O’Hara elementary schools;
Dorseyville Middle School; and Fox Chapel Area High School)
participated. Teacher, parent, and community representatives
also got involved and made donations during the live event

year working on the telethon. “I’ve gotten to work my way up
from a freshman floor manager to a senior director,” she said.
