2016-2017 f ox c hapel a rea s chool d istrict s tate of the s chools •Fox Chapel Area School District teacher Alison Francis was named the winner of the 2017 Carnegie Science Center’s Elementary Educator Award. Mrs. Francis, who is the facilitator of the district’s Creativity and Literacy Program, received the award for her innovative teaching and her work as a leader in both STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and maker education. 2017 SAT/ACT/PSAT Mean Scores Fox Chapel Area High School students continue to outscore the state and nation on the SAT, ACT, and PSAT in all subject areas. The district administered the PSAT to all students in grades 10 and 11 during the 2016-2017 school year.
