“ We can keep old clothes alive by mending them ,” Blain said . “ We can fix buttons , zippers , hem pants or add cuffs . A lot of men get hand-me-down suits or have suits that have sentimental value and we can restore them or alter them so they fit perfectly .”
Metro not only dry cleans clothing , it offers a shirt laundry service , household item cleaning , shoe repair , drapery cleaning and leather repair . All services include free home delivery .
There is also a wash-and-fold service that is billed at $ 1.99 per pound , $ 2.20 a pound for allergen-free detergent , which is a lifesaver for busy families and professionals .
Blain noted that because the quality of the service is so important to him , he is constantly sending his 12 employees to continuing education classes and seminars pertinent to the dry cleaning industry .
