CHILD &
ADOLESCENT
CLINICAL
ASSOCIATES
DEDICATED TO
THE PATIENT
P
sychology has changed over the
past three decades, and Child &
Adolescent Clinical Associates has
changed with it to reflect the times.
Led by Clinical Director Dr. Bob
Andolina, the practice today is
more than just therapy for children
and adolescents, although that
constituency remains a prime focus. “Clinical Associates is a
traditional, face-to-face clinic where therapy is directed with
patients not to them,” Dr. Andolina said. “A lot of places miss
what therapy’s about. It’s not, ‘Check the box, come in 10
times and you’re cured.’ It’s not just crisis intervention. We’re a
results-based therapy practice that’s been here for 35 years and
equipped with a team of professionals holding PhD’s, master’s
degrees and who are certified in-home workers.”
Services include, but are not limited to, child and adolescent
psychology, adult, family, and marital therapy. The New Hope
outpatient substance abuse program, has a proven, seven-year,
82 percent success rate. Child & Adolescent Clinical Associates
focuses on treatment first.
“Today, a lot of clinics will just go down a list of humanistic tools
that are short-lived. They get the patient feeling good and move
on,” Dr. Andolina said. “We focus on underlying dynamics. We treat
the syndrome, not the symptoms, and we form an alliance with
people that doesn’t just happen by walking into a practice. It’s
comprehensive and true therapy.”
Child & Adolescent Clinical Associates treats children and
adolescents with anxiety, hyperactivity, Asperger’s syndrome,
autism and other disorders. Common problems seen in the adult
population treated by Child & Adolescent Clinical
Associates include depression, anxiety, panic
disorder and others. Comprehensive psychological
and neuropsychological assessments are
additional services offered by Clinical Associates.
The professionals there alsoare
adept at working hand-in-hand
with the court system for custody
evaluations, co-parenting issues,
conflict resolution and other mental
health issues. They are members
of the Pennsylvania Psychological
Association, American Psychological
Association, International Neuropsychological Society and
Pennsylvania State Tourette Association.
Dr. Andolina, known as “Dr. Bob” to staff, patients, and
listeners to his radio show, has taught in Europe and has
opened facilities in California and Florida in addition to
Allegheny, Butler and Westmoreland counties, and in eastern
Pennsylvania. He’s spearheaded the development of several
different programs to treat patients and has a proven
successful track record, especially in areas of early childhood.
Regardless of your problem, Dr. Andolina said the underlying
constant at Child & Adolescent Clinical Associates is an
unyielding dedication to you as a patient, working at your
speed, towards a positive result.
