CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP ROTARY CLUBS HELP ‘ GREEN ’ THE COMMUNITY
The Cranberry Township Sunrise Rotary Club and Noon Rotary Club are contributing to the township ’ s effort to “ green ” the community . Members of the clubs gathered on June 28 to plant four Japanese Ivory Silk Lilac trees along the Brush Creek Trail in Graham Park . According to township officials , the trees are one more step toward enhancing the popular trails that are frequented by bicyclists and pedestrians .
The Rotary Clubs in Cranberry Township are among 33,000 that are active across 200 countries . Locally , the clubs help fund initiatives at Voice , Gleaner ’ s Food Bank , the Cranberry Township Community Chest and dictionary and scholarship programs for local students .
