North Strabane Township Fire Department Promotions The North Strabane Fire Department recently promoted three of its Firefighters. Christopher Chiprich and Glen Eger were promoted to Captain. Richard Yosi was promoted to Assistant Chief. Congratulations to all three gentlemen. CHRISTOPHER CHIPRICH Captain/Paramedic Christopher Chiprich brings 20 years of firefighting and emergency medical experience to the position. Chris has been a firefighter with the township since May of 2011. In his new position as Captain, he is responsible for overseeing the Fire Prevention, Inspection and Training programs, and managing the Advanced Life Support Quick Response program. He is also a member of the PA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 2 Team and serves as a Rescue and Medical Specialist. In his off time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsey, and two daughters, Chloe & Brooklyn. He is also an avid runner and cyclist, competing in distance cycling races and triathlons. Chris recently completed the 2017 Pittsburgh Marathon. GLEN EGER Captain/ EMT Glen Eger brings over 25 years of experience in the fire service. Glen has been employed by the township since 2012. In his new role as Captain, he is responsible for fleet maintenance and inventory, along with overseeing the Pre-Incident Planning program. Glen is also an adjunct instructor for the State Fire Academy, Allegheny County Fire Academy, and Butler Community College. Glen spends his off time with his wife, Roxanne. They both enjoy boating, kayaking, fishing, hunting and biking. He is also an avid “Car Guy” spending time maintaining and restoring classic cars. RICHARD YOSI Assistant Fire Chief Richard Yosi has spent nearly 20 years in the fire service. His last eight years have been in North Strabane Township. In his new position, Rich is responsible for the administrative duties of the department. His duties include: budget management, personnel scheduling, payroll, and management of the department’s reporting and IT systems. In the absence of the Fire Chief, he assumes the day- to-day operations and incident scene management. His time away from the Fire Department is spent with his wife, Kate, and their two daughters, Elise and Italia. Rich also enjoys golfing. 50 Canon-Mac
