Lutz Superintendent of Schools, Baldwin-Whitehall School District Welcome to A Year of New Adventure, Inspiration and Achievement The beginning of every new school year is a special moment in time that offers a fresh start for our students, our faculty, and our administration. Every blank sheet of paper, every freshly sharpened pencil, and every unread book is a chance to learn something new that just might change a student’s life. When each day is filled with countless opportunities to learn, improve, and grow, it’s easy to see why our teachers and students begin every school year with so much excitement and optimism for the many adventures that lie ahead. On page 91, Director of Curriculum Andrea Huffman explains how we’re changing the way we schedule our elementary art and music classes, and the STEAM-based learning possibilities that students can find in their libraries and media centers. On page 93, Director of Information and Instructional Technology Dr. Janeen Peretin offers details about our 1:1 Initiative rolling out this year to help students advance their ability to be competitive in the Digital Age.
