WHAT’S NEWS IN BETHEL PARK CHILDREN’S MUSICAL COMES TO ST. THOMAS MORE PARISH Amanda Rhoades, a 2015 alumna of Bethel Park High School, is directing her fifth children’s Christian musical at St. Thomas More this summer called “7 Days of Creation.” Any child going into grades 2 through 8 for the 2017-18 school year who is interested in singing, dancing and/or act- ing and wants to make new friends through fellowship is eligible to sign up. Space is available for 30 kids and registra- tion is on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost is $15/child with each additional child per family, $10. There are scholarships avail- able so every child can participate. All prac- tices will be on Wednesday evenings with some Saturday morning practices depend- ing on the part. Practices start on May 17. Cost of the show is free. In lieu of an admission fee, please bring nonperishable food items, which will be donated to South Hills Interfaith Movement. At-will dona- tions will also be accepted. ALLEGHENY COUNTY ANNOUNCES SATURDAY HOURS FOR MARRIAGE LICENSES AND PASSPORTS THROUGH OCT. 28 The county’s marriage license and pass- port office will offer Saturday hours over the summer to accommodate requests for more convenience. Begun in April and running through October, the office will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. These hours are in addition to the office’s regular hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Marriage license services are available to residents of any county who are intending to marry in Pennsylvania. The marriage license process includes completing an application and appearing at the marriage license office. No appointment is necessary. Applications will not be processed after 4 p.m. on weekdays or after 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Passport services are available to all U.S. citizens, regardless of county or state of resi- dence. First-time applicants for a passport book or passport card must complete and submit an application in person, along with proof of U.S. citizenship, proof of identity and two photographs. Children’s applica- tions have additional requirements. Unlike other passport locations, no appointment is necessary at the Allegheny County passport office.
