Miller’s Ace Hardware
GENERATIONS OF QUALITY IN THE COMMUNITY
T
here aren’t too many
businesses around that
can trace their history back
to 1889, but Miller’s Ace
Hardware is one of them. Started by
the Miller family four generations
ago, the business opened a Bethel
Park location in 1948 and a McMurray
location in 1963, growing slowly but
steadily all the while.
Today, under the leadership of Greg
and Chip Gold since 2008, Miller’s Ace
Hardware continues to be a staple of
the communities it serves on both
professional and personal levels.
“We’re community people,” Greg
said. “I live in Bethel Park and Chip
lives in Upper St. Clair, where we grew
up. We’re proud of our employees.
We’re proud of the Miller name in the community. And we’re
proud of how we serve the needs of our customers.”
With an array of products that can’t be found at “big-box”
hardware retailers,
Miller’s Ace
Hardware is the
go-to destination
for need-it-now,
hard-to-find
parts for your
home. With some
employees who

have been in the
Bucket Drive
business for more
than 25 years,
there’s rarely a
problem or part
they haven’t seen
before.
“Our advantage
is depth of product
and product
knowledge that
you’re only going
to find in the smaller hardware stores,” Greg said. “We also focus
on premium products in unique categories that you’re not going
to find at a big box.”
Miller’s Ace Hardware, for example, carries Weber, Scotts,
Jonathan Green, Big Green Egg, Stihl, Craftsman, Toro and more,
just in the Lawn & Garden department. Employees are well-
versed in how each one operates and can help you make the
best choice for your particular needs, as well as offer support
with products after the sale. In addition, Miller’s Ace Hardware
offers assembly and delivery, and plans to offer same-day local

delivery later this year—features you can’t get from online
retailers. Another service offered that isn’t available from online
or big-box stores is repair and maintenance for many of your
household needs.
“We have a full rental department, and a repair department
that does screens, windows, lamps, power equipment and
glass cutting,” Greg said. “We do our best to keep the money
in the community here, focusing on local sourcing, as much as
possible.”
In addition to the local community appeal, Miller’s also has the
full backing and name of Ace Hardware as its affiliate, meaning
that employees will always have the latest knowledge and
training on products, trends and repairs provided to them by one
of the country’s leaders in
the home improvement
industry.
Not only does Miller’s
Ace Hardware support
its customers through
customer service, it’s
dedicated to supporting
the community as well.
The store routinely helps
local fundraising groups,
donates to Children’s
Hospital and more.
