If it’s within 10 steps, I may do it” AGE: 40-45 LOCAL (STUDIED AND WORKED IN TORONTO WHEN HE WAS 15 TO30) DESIGNER LIVES IN CAUSEWAY BAY WORKS IN TIN HAU HANG OUT IN HK ISLAND KNOWLEDGE • More conscious when he was living in Canada where everybody recycles • He knows its not good to use plastic, so he is trying to buy less plastic bottle drinks now • Never actively search for related information • Not aware of recent changes of bins ACTION Cigarette Butts • If he couldn’t see any bins around, he will throw on ground (10 steps ahead is max) • If his friends throw on ground, he will just follow • 20% of the time will just throw butts on the ground Garbage • He seldom use the garbage bins on the street, only once every 2-3 weeks mainly food packages and water bottles Recycling • He separates plastic bottles and paper only at home and put them at the stairs outside his flat for cleaners to collect. He doesn’t know what they do with them afterwards. He never ask THINKING & FEELING • How his peers see him is his main drive. He just follow their action and does want to be an outlier
