• Has the habit of separating rubbish and recycling since he was in US
• Became more conscious after doing a project related to environ-
ment for Church
• He educates his kids on recycling
• Recognizes new rubbish bin and is able to distinguish recycling
bins based on color
• Learns from Apple Daily news & Facebook
• Actively searched for garbage related news and info mainly for
his charity work at the church visiting garbage collectors not
aware of new rubbish bin

Waste disposal
• Mostly food package
• Flyers - thinks some old people will come and collect them for
money
• Bottles (drinks for kids) – if he is <15 mins away from home, he will
take it home for recycling
Recycling
• He recycles almost everything, plastics, paper, bottles and brings
downstairs to the recycling bins in his housing estate
• He also forces his colleagues to give him their paper and brings
downstairs for recycle. His colleagues all think he is a freak
THINKING & FEELING
• Sense of responsibility is his main drive, he feels it’s his duty as a
citizen to do things “right”
• He wants to set as example for his kids
• He doesn’t know where the recycling bins are located in Yuen
