Uppsala adding bottle-collecting
cylinders to the normal trash bins,
allows pedestrians to dispose
their pant bottles and for the less
fortunate can pick directly from
the cylinder without having to dig
in bin for cans ENVAC AUTOMATED WASTE
SYSTEM
Users throw their waste into
ordinary inlets, where the bags
are stored temporarily. All full
inlets are then emptied at regular
intervals through a network of
underground pipes.

Provides less fortunate people an
excellent way to collect waste and
thus both earn money and help
society keep clean! And creates

COFFEE CUP
Hubbub coordinated a month
long coffee cup recycling
campaign in the City of London,
with bins in the shape of bright
yellow coffee cups placed on city’s
streets accepting coffee cups from
more than 100 coffee retailers.
Meanwhile, offices of 34 city-
based companies are collecting
these paper coffee cups, diverting
them into a new waste stream.
WHY WE LIKE IT
It used to be impossible to recy-
cle those takeout coffee cups due
to the composition of the material
and the only place where such
cups go is the landfill

RENEW SMART BIN
UK startup Renew is taking
smartphone tracking to London’s
streets with the help of its Wi-Fi-
enabled rubbish bins with LCD
equipped. Not only do the bins
holds garbage but also update
pedestrians with travel updates
and news.

The inclusion of WiFi tracking
enabled more personalized ads
and informations to be displayed
to people passing by

replacement garbage bins by
the city officials not just with new,
