Our vision is to reach 1,000 children by 2020. But that’s just half of the potential total number of children living in our region that need our help. And demand is increasing. Throughout this Impact Report we’ve demonstrated the ripple effect of our work and the difference we make with the funds we are given. The impact of that contribution cannot be underestimated. When I walk around any of our three hospices, visit our shops, speak to health and social care professionals or meet people in the community, it is clear we’re making a difference. There is no doubt that the impact of our work is evident on many levels, from the child right up to the wider society in which we operate. So, as I reflect on my ten years as chief executive, I am proud of the significant number of children we’ve cared for and of families we’ve supported through the unimaginable. We know there will always be a need for Acorns, but we need to do more. That’s where you come in… We’ve asked ourselves if we’re making a difference. Now you need to ask – what difference can I make?
