Foundation
Charitable gifts help Advocate’s hospitals and
programs provide excellent, compassionate care.
Advocate Charitable Foundation builds relationships
and partnerships across Chicagoland and Central
Illinois that will inspire individuals, foundations,
corporations and organizations to make charitable
gifts in support of Advocate Health Care’s patient
care, education, research and community-based
health services. Because Advocate Health Care
funds the Foundation’s operations, 100 percent
of every gift is used according to the donor’s
intended purpose.
Named one of 12 top fundraising operations for the
third year in a row by the Association of Healthcare
Philanthropy, Advocate Charitable Foundation
has been cited for operational and best-practice
excellence by a variety of organizations. The
Chronicle of Philanthropy recently recognized the
Foundation for 155 percent growth, net of inflation,
in the market value of its endowment portfolio over
the preceding five years.

Advocate Charitable Foundation Board of Directors
The Foundation’s Board of Directors provides guidance and oversight to
the organization’s activities. A local Development Council parallels the
roles and responsibilities of the Foundation Board at most hospitals.
