CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS: FACILITIES The master plans for both our current campus and future Upper School campus were approved by the Board earlier this year. As part of our plan to renovate our current campus, several projects were undertaken this summer, with some having already been successfully completed. $226,761 was raised towards the new kitchen project at the Annual Gala Dinner & Auction in March. With this incredible support, construction of the facility began during the summer and will soon be completed. LCIS is pleased to be able to offer its students healthy and delicious meals from this new state-of-the-art facility. Additionally, thanks to generous support of the Annual Fund, renovations were made to our ELC classrooms during the summer, creating a better learning environment with improvements in space and lighting. The upgrading of these facilities goes hand-in-hand with LCIS’s strategic plan to grow its Early Learning Centre to include a Nursery programme for children as young as two years old. 14 In the Secondary School, new furniture was purchased and minor renovations were made to these classrooms to maximise use of space. The furniture was also specifically selected to allow more opportunities for group learning, an important aspect of the International Baccalaureate curriculum. New lockers were also installed to ensure that students have adequate space to store school items between classes. EUROPE
