Dear Reader,
The Model United Nations Program of the American School Foundation of Monterrey
(ASFM) is honored to invite you to the International Monterrey Model United Nations
Simulation (IMMUNS), which shall take place from February 20th to February 22nd, 2015.
IMMUNS is one of the most prestigious simulations in Latin America, as proven by our
association with THIMUN. We are proud to announce that, due to our adherence to the
spirit of constant innovation, we are in the process of revamping the academic portion of
our event, as we shall offer multiple new and highly interactive committees. Evidently, be
it as first timers or returning delegates, the attendees of our simulation will experience
the opportunity to engage in vibrant multi-cultural debate, and shall be exposed to the
realities of our contemporary society. Moreover, our delegates will be introduced to the
intricacies of international negotiation and diplomacy, skills unlikely to be taught in the
traditional classroom. Overall, the reinvigorated IMMUNS 2015 will serve to prepare our
attendees for the complexities of the modern world, and foment awareness of the major
issues humankind is currently confronting.
Nonetheless, IMMUNS 2015 is more than just academic debate, as we seek to ensure
that our delegates enjoy every moment of our event. Hence, our program includes the
following entertaining affairs - the participation of a renowned Guest Speaker, the famed
IMMUNS Gameshow and multiple themed lunches, amongst other enjoyable occurrences.
Thus, the attendees of our simulation will not only be engaged academically during the
three-day event, but will also participate in both challenging and pleasurable ventures
whilst outside of their committee rooms.
