The March Imjin Cup event was the March and Shoot where teams
carried out a weighted run before being tested on a pistol shoot
on the range.
Imjin Day. Members of the WOs’ and Sgts’ hosted the annual Imjin
Dinner in commemoration of the battle of Imjin river. Three veterans
of the battle were in attendance and the bar was officially renamed
‘The Sam Mercer Bar’.
Our field gun team gave a final full-speed demonstration to the
headquarters as they prepared for the inter-services Field Gun
Competition at HMS COLLINGWOOD. Our Dutch service personnel gathered together to celebrate Kings Day,
a national holiday in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Celebrated on
27 April (26 April if the 27th is a Sunday), the date marks the birth of
King Willem-Alexander.
Our NCOs practiced their debating skills during a leadership
development event. The two teams debated the merits of intelligent
disobedience based on an insight from the Centre for Army
Leadership. Our Italian contingent hosted Italian National Day 2018 in early June.
The celebrations commemorated the 72nd anniversary of the Italian
Republic.
Our medical branch conducted Exercise ARRCADE AESCALPIUS, a
tactical medical wargame designed to explore what the Corps’ medical
concept for supporting warfighting should be, and how the Corps can
work most effectively in support of subordinate formations. Our US contingent celebrated the 243rd US Army Birthday with a cake-
cutting ceremony alongside servicemembers of the 22 other NATO
nations here at the ARRC.
