Defence Business Services (DBS)
DBS provide corporate support services to businesses
and individuals across Defence. At Imjin, the DBS Military
Personnel pillar provides services through the Joint Casualty
and Compassionate Centre (JCCC) and the MOD Medal Office
supporting military personnel and their families, veterans and
entitled civilian personnel.

Behind the scenes of the Joint Casualty
and Compassionate Centre (JCCC)
Within Imjin Barracks lies the Joint Casualty
and Compassionate Centre (JCCC),
comprising of 34 civilian employees who
manage all casualty and compassionate
requests for the UK Armed Forces. Today, we
share with you 10 facts about the JCCC and
what to do if you ever need us.
1. The JCCC operations room is manned
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days
a year. The team comprises several
personnel who have been in the JCCC
since it was first formed.
2. The JCCC was established in 2005 as a
tri-service centre and has been a purely
civilian department since 2014. A reservist
squadron is on standby should the team
require additional resources.
3. Over the past 12 months, the JCCC
operations room received 44,749 phone
calls and actioned over 4,000 casualty
and compassionate cases.
4. The JCCC also have specialist teams
to guide families through all of the
