The further South you went the less you would hear R&B music on the radio because it was considered "race" music; and that meant music created and only meant for Black people. So, we were fortunate enough to be in that sweet spot where we would hear a lot of R&B on white radio stations. That always meant a lot to me in terms of music that touches you; and Todd Rundgren: I have done Ringo tours before. He puts these tours together and does not have a whole lot of requirements beyond you have had to have at least 3 hits during your career and you still have to be able to sing and perform those hits.
